I started to assemble a blog entry on the Israeli politicians who have "done time."
The following was prompted by headlines such as the Jerusalem Posts’ "Deri Questioned, 14 Detained In Corruption Investigation." Deri currently is serving as Interior Minister. This is the second time the Shas party leader has found himself in trouble with the law.
I thought of Flatto Sharon, of Moshe Katsav and Ehud Olmert, but then I got lazy and asked Google for a list of "Members of Israeli Knesset who served time in jail."
Wikipedia has a page titled "List of Israeli public officials convicted of crimes or misdemeanors."
What a surprise.

Note that none of the Arab lists are represented, despite their anti-Israel positions. Arab Joint List member Basel Ghattas is to serve 2 years in jail for exploiting his position to smuggle cell phones and notes to convicted Palestinian terrorists. In a plea deal he also resigned from the knesset.
If the links fail to work, see http://tinyurl.com/y82lye4d to learn how to find/access them. It's a Google problem.
