PLO consulates
Should be in
PLO cities, not J’lem

JOE BIDEN’S PIPE DREAM of dividing Jerusalem by opening a consulate for the PLO

✡ Violates a treaty between the U.S. and Israel

✡> Fails to benefit “Palestinians” in the PLO/PFLP-controlled areas and Hamas’ Gaza

✡ Promotes a two-state solution by fiat with Jerusalem as capital of both

✡ Is the U.S. “progressives” way to control Biden’s on-going attacks on Donald Trump’s progress toward peace in the Middle East.

TREATY: The US State Department has confirmed it cannot open a consulate for the Palestinians in Jerusalem without Israel’s authorization. https://tinyurl.com/fkshkw

Sen. Bill Hagerty (R-Tennessee) this week proposed a bill to ensure that the only US diplfmatic entity in Jerusalem would be the U.S. Embassy. During a Senate Foreign Relations Committee hearing on Wednesday, he asked Deputy Secretary of State for Management and Resources Brian McKeon about the matter.

“President [Joe] Biden’s proposal to open a second US mission in Jerusalem would begin to reverse the recognition of Jerusalem, and it would divide Israel’s eternal and undivided capital city,” Hagerty said. “I just want to confirm something on the record. Is it your understanding that, under US and international law, the government of Israel would have to provide its affirmative consent before the United States could open or reopen the US consulate to the Palestinians in Jerusalem, or does the Biden administration believe it can move forward to establish a second US mission in the Israeli capital city of Jerusalem without the consent of the government of Israel?”

NO BENEFIT: Currently Muslim residents of Israel (vs. Muslim citizens of Israel) have a Muslim department in the U.S. Embassy. Prior to the relocation of the Embassy to Jerusalem — locating it in a capital city as are all other U.S. Embassies — there was a U.S. consulate in Jerusalem frequented by Muslim residents of Israel.

To open a U.S. consulate in Jerusalem fails to benefit the Muslims of the PLO/PFLP and Hamas-controlled areas. These people still need permission (from all entities) to enter Israel to do any business here, including visiting a U.S. consulate.

BETTER, if the progressives and Biden really want to support the Muslims in the PLO/PFLP and Hamas-controlled areas, place consulates in Ramallah and Gaza City.

It might be that the U.S. State Department is concerned about the safety of its personnel — the memory of the “spontaneous attack”on Benghazi is not distant — it might consider putting a Hamas consulate on the Egyptian side of the border, a border often closed to Gaza residents. Would Egypt accommodate a U.S. consulate for Gazans? Has it been considered by Biden’s handlers?

ONE CAPITAL FOR ONE COUNTRY Jerusalem is Israel’s capital.

Jerusalem is Israel’s historic capital, at least since the time of King David (c. 1035 - 970 BCE).

Jerusalem has been under the thumb of numerous foreign aggressors, but always was Israel’s capital when Jews controlled the country.

Jerusalem also is the focus for observant Jews who pray toward the city rather than, as Muslims do, turn their back on the city for prayer. (They face toward Saudi Arabia.)

Jews have been the dominant ethic group in Jerusalem since David’s time (ibid.)

Jordan illegally occupied Jerusalem (despite a UN resolution that it be a city open to all), and in the process destroyed many synagogues and holy sites. Allowing it to be divided again, with one part a “Palestinian” capital, would result in more destruction of Jewish sites.

Finally DESTROY TRUMP LEGACY: The U.S. Congress passed Public Law 104–45—NOV. 8, 1995 https://tinyurl.com/5a5dr2x7 that authorized moving the embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

Every six months for more than two decades, U.S. presidents have had to decide all over again whether to move the U.S. embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. Since the Clinton administration, they decided each time to keep the embassy where it is, seeking not to throw a wrench into delicate Middle East peace talks. On Tuesday, however, after signing a waiver putting off the move in June, President Donald Trump informed the Palestinian Authority’s President Mahmoud Abbas that he’s going to recognize the contested holy city as Israel’s capital and begin the process of moving the embassy there. https://tinyurl.com/yr33wnwm

Despite U.S. presidential cowardice, the PLO/PFLP consistently refused to negotiate peace with Israel even when Israeli leftist politicians offered everything but the demise of Israel as a state. “Delicate peace talks” never were in jeopardy since there were, in fact, no serious effort on the part of the PLO/PFLP.

The incumbent president, in an effort to reverse all of his predecessor’s acts, is promoting a plan to push peace father away.

But PLO/PFLP won’t come to table

Arabs want “Palestine”
Issue settled before
Signing peace pact

IT IS RIGHT OUT OF JOS. HELLER’S CATCH 221, 2

Several major Muslim neighbors, in particular Saudia and Qatar — the later being the “bank” for Hamas — are willing to “normalize” relations — that does not necessarily equate with “peace — with Israel

IF

Israel first makes a peace deal with the PLO/PFLP and Hamas/Islamic Jihad.

* * * * * *

Qatar: Normalization with Israel only after two-state solution with Palestinians3

* * * * * *

Normalizing ties with Israel linked to Palestinian statehood, Saudi king says4

On the other hand, President Trump’s son-in-law, possibly a Pollyanna,5 suggests that the “Palestinians will get peace 'as soon as they are ready'.”6

Given that the “leadership” of the terrorist groups (ibid.) refuse to negotiate with Israel, particularly when they are confident the pro terrorist Democrats may regain the White House and Congress in November, there is no way, short of a devastating attack unleashed by Israel on the terrorist-controlled areas to which “the world” would condemn Israel, that the terrorists’ “leadership” will send delegates to a negotiating table.

Hamas has accepted Egypt to mediate between it and Israel. (Hamas arranges a short-term cease fire to once again stockpile materiel to use against Israel — and Israel’s “leaders” stupidly fall for this again and again and again.)

IF, THEN, the Saudis and Qataris want a peace agreement between the terrorists and Israel, they must push the terrorists to the negotiating table and they must convince the terrorists that attacks on Israel must cease — permanently.

The question is, what country or organization can guarantee the peace?

Not the UN; it has proven both useless (UNIFIL) and in the pocket of the terrorists (UNRWA).

The U.S. is tired of sending its troops into danger.

The Europeans, save for Russia, likewise will not endanger their personnel.

China, perhaps. It sees itself as the next (of not already) major world power.

Since Israel has repeatedly made concessions to the terrorists, and since the concessions were accepted by the terrorists as a sign of Israel’s weakness — perpetuated by Israel’s “leaders” — someone needs to stand as surety that the terrorists will indeed forego attacks on Israel and is citizens.

No one on any side should expect that a “peace agreement” will bring any more than a cessation of hostilities.

If “normalization” is what members of EuroCom have — passport-free passage over national borders — or what U.S. and Canadian and U.S. and Mexican citizens have, then this is not a “normalization” that can be expected.

While there are peace agreements between Israel and Egypt and between Israel and Jordan, true normalization is far from being achieved. Travel to and from Israel by citizens of the three countries is difficult at best. (Tourists are another matter and have fewer handicaps.)

It would be interesting to know what the Qataris and Saudis expect Israel to concede. The terrorists make it clear that they will accept nothing less than an end to Israel. Even with the Democrats controlling Washington and Israeli leftist controlling the Knesset and Supreme Court, allowing the terrorists to drive Israelis — Christian, Jew, Muslim, and “whatever” into the sea — is not going to happen.

Everything the terrorists have lost they lost due to wars of aggression started by Muslim states.

Had Jordan accepted the UN partition in 1948 and had the Muslims not repeatedly attacked Israel, the “Palestinians” might have a state of their own, assuming Jordan would allow it.

Had Syria not attacked Israel in 1948 (and again later), it might have all of Mount Hermon.

If Grandma had wheels . . .

A few thoughts
About Israel-UAE
Peace agreement

With a great deal of hoopla and self-congratulations, Trump’s son-in-law is taking bows for lining up the third Muslim country in the region to make a pact with Israel.

Peace almost always is a good thing.1

The accord between Israel and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), regardless of what it actually entails, should be a good thing for the region.

The Sunni-dominated UAE is a winner in the deal as it, like Israel, is threatened by Shiite-dominated Iran.

The UAE military is smaller (not being threatened by an immediate neighbor is helpful) than Israel’s Defense Force.

For 2020, United Arab Emirates is ranked 45 of 138 out of the countries considered for the annual GFP review. 2

Always in a state of readiness, the nation of Israel fields one of the most capable military forces in the world - despite its size. For 2020, Israel is ranked 18 of 138 out of the countries considered for the annual GFP review. 3

The UAE is a member of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), a political and economic alliance of six Middle Eastern countries—Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Bahrain, and Oman. The GCC was established in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in May 1981. The purpose of the GCC is to achieve unity among its members based on their common objectives and their similar political and cultural identities, which are rooted in Arab and Islamic cultures.4

Countries belonging to the GCC (Encyclopædia Britannica, Inc./Kenny Chmielewski @ https://tinyurl.com/y47oxzm5)

Because the UAE is a GCC member state, it is likely, albeit not assured, that the other member states will either follow UAE’s lead or at least use the UAE as a conduit to Israel.

Qatar currently is the main source of revenue for Hamas, until recently depositing US$15 million-a-month into the terrorists’ pockets. The funds were earmarked by the Qataris for humanitarian aid. Qatar also funds some PLO/PFLP activities.

Qatar recently sent two planeloads of medical supplies to the PLO/PFLP. Abu Mazen and friends rejected the aid since the supplies were landed in Israel sans Abu Mazen’s permission! (The PLO/PFLP lacks an airport to accommodate a modern jumbo jet.)5

Despite funding Hamas and the PLO/PFLP, Qatar apparently has, as do most of the GCC states, a pragmatic relationship with Israel. This is not new; as early as the 1970s Saudi were buying Israeli-made air conditioners; they worked better in Saudia’s climate than the European brands.

Some concerns

The rapprochement between Israel and the GCC is not without concerns.

For example, Qatar had been at odds with other GCC members and Egypt for some time. 10

Direct Flights Emirates and Etihad already overfly Saudia to deliver aid to the PLO/PFLP. Will Israeli airlines (El Al, IsrAir) be allowed to overfly Saudia? Saudia is a GCC member.

Iran is troublesome for ALL middle eastern countries (and beyond).

Will agreements between Israel and individual GCC states include mutual military assistance? Israel has the strongest and best trained military in the region. While there is military cooperation with Egypt, a mutual assistance agreement to defend against a belligerent state (e.g., Libya) is not part of the public peace deal.

PLO/PFLP & Hamas Will the GCC states abandon the “Palestinians” and would that be good for Israel.

Both the PLO/PFLP and Hamas, with Islamic Jihad at its side, have proven their dependence on Israel, yet all are bent on Israel’s destruction. If the GCC quits funneling funds to the terrorists, if the GCC quits supporting the terrorists politically to the rest of the world (primarily the EU), will the terrorists finally be driven to abandon terrorism and make a true peace with Israel? One that does not have an “expiration date.” Or will the terrorists continue to receive support from the EU, and — like Pharaoh — “harden their hearts” and continue their sworn goal of a Jewish-free “Palestine.”

England, Germany,
Israel & “Palestine”,
The Blue & The Grey

I WAS WATCHING AN ILTV show about why there is no resolution of the conflict with the PLO/PFLP and Israel. (https://youtu.be/dKrAtkWe9bs)

The PLO/PFLP sympathizer said there is no reason why there cannot be a rapprochement between the two sides similar to that between England and Germany.

THE RAPPROCHEMENT between England and Germany occurred only after Germany was soundly defeated; its cities left as rubble and its leaders either dead or sneaking off the other countries.

If that is what it takes to subdue outward hatred, then Israel should level every PLO/PFLP and Hamas/Islamic Brotherhood city, town, and village; rain total devastation on the Muslim-only areas, and then take over politically and militarily to suppress any any lingering opposition.

That’s what England did, with a lot of help from the U.S., in the “western zone” and what Russia did, with no help from anyone, in the “eastern zone.” (Chas. de Gaulle at least had the good sense not to interfere.)

The U.S. inked a surrender agreement with Japan after Harry S Truman ordered two atomic bombs dropped on the island.

Japan, like Germany, was devastated.

To its credit, the U.S. then helped the defeated Germans and Japanese get back to business, even at the cost to America’s steel manufacturers. (The U.S. steel industry still has not recovered.)

Conversely, ill will lingered long after the end of the War for Southern Independence, a/k/a the U.S. Civil War.

Why?

For the most part — there are exceptions to every rule — the Federals who came to the defeated South did everything they could to humiliate and hinder the southerners who fought for an ideal.

In parts of the U.S. you still can hear “damnyankee” said with the same bitterness as some people say “red neck” or “hillbilly.”

It is no secret that while blacks who made an effort left the ghettos and rose to high positions, many blacks prefer to blame whites for their station in life. Like the captives in Gaza and the PLO/PFLP areas, and in UN “refugee” camps, they are resigned to their plight.

Unless Israel brings the PLO/PFLP and Hamas/Islamic Brotherhood to their knees and eliminates them there will be no peace. Once the oppressors are eliminated — militarily and politically — then, and only then, can Israel help the Muslims in those areas come into the 21st century; to become productive and independent.

Of course, the Muslims under today’s oppression could be like Cubans.

The U.S. has several times “freed” Cubans from dictators, only to see the Cubans abandon democracy at the first instant and revert to a dictatorship. Some people, and perhaps the currently oppressed Muslims are in this category, cannot function in a democracy.

If — perhaps “when” — Israel tires of trying to make peace with the recalcitrant Muslims and turns out its “leadership,” it must provide a temporary government; it cannot leave a vacuum to be filled by other despots.

The question is: Are there Muslims who are able to successfully rule, at least on an interim basis, people who never knew democracy; who have only known autocracy, rule by tyrant and demigod. If there are, where are they? If there are, do they have the charisma to rule, even for a brief period?

The first test that democracy has a chance is when free elections are held and the leaders appointed by the victors surrender their offices.

Bottom Line: Germany and Japan were devastated; their cities leveled, their soldiers and civilians killed, and their leaders put on trial for war crimes.

If the PLO/PFLP sympathizer wants to use England and Germany as an example of two peoples who have — at least for now — sheathed their swords, he should understand that Germany (and Japan) had no alternative, and England, which had a hand in forcing Germany to revolt against its WW1 treaties (by demanding reparations Germany could not provide in the worldwide depression), held all the cards (dealt by the U.S.)

If he is proposing such a rapprochement with the PLO/PFLP and Hamas/Islamic Brotherhood is possible, it only can happen if Israel thoroughly devastates their enemy.

The despots must know that they can depend only on Iran for aid, and Iran currently is fending off, less and less successfully, internal insurrection.

When did Gantz
Join the Joint List?

HOW IS IT THAT co-Prime Minister, Benny Gantz, supports the PLO/PLFP’s Slay for Pay?

According to Yediot Aharonot, as reported by Israel National News/Arutz 71, Gantz over the weekend extended the moratorium on an order imposing criminal sanctions on Palestinian Arab banks that hold accounts of terrorists and their families and which are budgeted by the Palestinian Authority.

The imposition of sanctions was initiated by former Defense Minister Naftali Bennett, and Gantz froze the sanctions a month and a half ago.

Ayalet Shaked and Naftali Bennett

Granted, Gantz is not a member of either Netanyahu’s Likud or Bennett’s Blue and White political party, but leader of the so-called Israel Resilience Party.

It seems more than a little strange that Gantz, former Chief of the General Staff of the Israel Defense Forces, is so willing to fund the killers of Israeli military and civilians.

Abu Mazen and the PLO/PFLP cuts the pay of its workers to pay prisoners in Israeli jails salaries that often are greater than the wages they would get at an honest job.

At the same time, the PLO/PFLP don’t pay their bills for utilities they get from Israel. Abu Mazen, in a fit of pique,

  * Refuses to accept tax money Israel collects for the PLO/PFLP

  * Condemns his people to second rate health services by preventing access to Israel’s superior health care workers and facilities

  * Prevents his people from working in Israel for better wages.

Meanwhile, Abu Mazen calls the continued payments to terrorists a "red line" that would not be halted under any circumstances.

Is Gantz a PLO agent?

While Gantz may not be an active member of the anti-Israel Arab Joint List, his allowing the PLO/PFLP to continue paying people who have slain Israelis seems to be counter-productive — unless you are Abu Mazen.

Will allowing Slay for Pay payments bring the PLO//PFLP to the bargaining table? So far it has not, Abu Mazen et al are as intransigent as before.

Based on past discussions, the only way Abu Mazen will be satisfied is when the last Jew leaves Israel.

Abu Mazen has lost face with Arabs around the globe. He still is the darling of non-Arab liberals everywhere, but in truth, he has become an embarrassment to the PLO/PFLP bosses.

Hanging on to the Slay for Pay is his last gasp — and Gantz is helping him by allowing the program to continue.

Not only is Gantz propping up Abu Mazen, he is showing the world that (like the U.S.) Israeli decisions are cast in Jell-O®, if even that much.

With Netanyahu fighting for his political life, Gantz is PM heir apparent.

The only alternative to a Gantz-led government similar to Rabin, Olmert, and Peres, to name but three leftists prime ministers, is a government headed by Bennett, Shaked, or similar strong personality.

Abu Mazen — even despite losing support from other Muslims in the Middle East — refuses to even DISCUSS borders with any right wing government and Netanyahu, who flips and flops daily on settlements, still is considered “right wing.” Abu Mazen is no fool. He realizes that with Gantz as prime minister the PLO/PFLP again will be in position to demand additional concessions from the leftists . . . with the likelihood of getting them.

I would not wish yet another election on the people of Israel, but the current kluge is similar to having Trump as president and Biden as vice-president.

Abu Mazen avoids
Normalization
Killing own people

IF YOU WANT TO KNOW WHO IS KILLING “PALESTINIANS, the answer is simple:

The “Leadership”

DUMBER AND MORE SELF-CENTERED THAN EVEN Dilberts’s Pointed Haired Boss (PHB), Abu Mazen, the terrorist who is “president for life” in the PLO/PFLP-controlled areas of Israel, refuses to accept medical supplies donated by the UAE

BECAUSE THE AID CAME VIA ISRAEL

It is more important for Abu Mazen to prevent any semblance of normalization between any Muslim country and Israel than it is to protect the people in the PLO/PFLP-controlled areas of Israel.

HOWEVER

However, based on past experience with Abu Mazen and his friends, if they or their near kin get sick they will rush to an Israeli hospital — usually a private hospital in Tel Aviv — to make certain they get the treatment their subjects do not deserve — or are not allowed to access.

In a fit of pique, Abu Mazen et al closed the border. People in PLO/PFLP occupied areas of Israel are as locked IN as Israelis are locked out.

Gaza, under the twin thumbs of Hamas and the Palestine Islamic Brotherhood, is only slightly better. Perhaps was only slightly better. According to Al Arabiya’s English language site, some Hamas higher up apparently defected to Israel1 or were clandestinely transferring intelligence to Israel, Gaza’s “leadership” has been arresting its own people on spying charges. (Cutting off supplies via Israel is not a problem; Egypt might be convinced to open its border with Gaza.)

According to Israel HaYom’s English language online edition2, the

Palestinian Authority in Ramallah is concerned about the PA's serious lack of vital medical equipment and corona testing kits – one of the reasons for which is a decision by the PA leadership not to collect a shipment of medical supplies and testing kits sent by the UAE that has been waiting at Ben-Gurion Airport for two months.

The PA has stopped coordinating with Israel and refuses to cooperate with "signs of normalization" with Israel that Arab countries have been showing.

The site continues: Meanwhile, the Coordinator for Government Activities in the Territories Maj. Gen. Kamil Abu Rokon has announced that due to the continued spread of coronavirus in Judea and Samaria, Israel has decided to keep Palestinian workers employed in Israel from crossing back and forth. The workers will be allowed to return home to celebrate Eid al-Adha, which begins on July 30, with their families. However, workers who do travel to the PA for the holiday will not be permitted to return to Israel.

Sources in the PLO/PFLP areas of Occupied Israel report that On Tuesday, the PLO Health Ministry announced 293 new cases among Palestinians in a 24-hour period. Tuesday saw another four Palestinian deaths from the virus and 59 Palestinian coronavirus patients recovered. Another 18 were in intensive care.

As of Tuesday, the number of active or symptomatic cases in the PA stood at 6,372, while 1,317 patients have recovered. The death toll from coronavirus among the Palestinians stood at 45 as of Tuesday.

As Palestinians die, Abu Mazen sits safely away from reality, denying his subjects medical aid simply

BECAUSE THE AID CAME VIA ISRAEL

Comment on Bus Mazen murders ‘Palestinians’

“Palestinians”
Would benefit
If areas annexed

ANNEXATION OF “PALESTINIAN” TOWNS in the “Jewish” areas of Yehuda and Shimron would benefit the “Palestinians” as much as the Israelis.

How so?

If even HALF of what is reported is true, then the “Palestinians” will be better off.

   * Better policing; less corruption.

   * Better health care.

   * Better education.

It would not be a “perfect world,” but for the “Palestinians,” life would be better than it is under the heavy thumb of the PLO/PFLP.

A few quick words about the quotes around “Palestinians.”

   1. There is NO country currently called “Palestine.”

   2. “Palestine” was a name applied to a vast area that included what now is Israel and Jordan.

   3. Jordan, originally “Trans-Jordan,” was the Muslim part of the English Balfour Declaration; the area controlled by the English after World War 1. The English offered the Muslims everything but a small portion of the land known as “historic Israel.”

   4. There was never any push back against Jordan when Jordan controlled the area; no demand for a unique state. This occurred ONLY after Jordan lost the territory after a war of aggression against Israel.

   5. “Palestinians” are Jordanians, but Jordan wants nothing to do with them (after Black September when “Palestinians” attempted to overthrow the king).

   5. There is no “Palestinian “ political history.

   6. There is no “Palestinian” currency; never has been issued

In short, Palestine doesn’t exist except in the minds of Abu Mazen and others of his ilk.

Many people, including those living in the PLO/PFLP-controlled areas, believe that the government that controls their lives is corrupt.

There ARE many things wrong with the (President Donald) Trump “plan,” primarily in failing to recognize the wishes of the people in the area.

There are Muslims currently in areas designated for Israeli control who WANT to be Israelis. There are Muslims in the those areas who prefer to be under PLO/PFLP sovereignty.

There probably are some leftist Jews — in Tel Aviv — who claim they are willing to live in a PLO/PFLP-controlled non-state; knowing, of course, that non-Muslims — in particular, Jews — cannot, by PLO/PFLP law, reside in “Palestine.” Nor can Israeli-owned businesses operate in the PLO/PFLP-controlled area, thus assuring those Muslims who live under Abu Mazen’s controls are guaranteed to earn less than an Israeli company would pay.

According to one UN hand, Israel as an “occupier” is obliged to provide necessary services to the residents. That INCLUDES police protection.

Israel should immediately disband the PLO/PFLP police and collect their U.S.-supplied weapons. It should discharge some IDF soldiers, immediately draft them into the Israel Police, and station them in the “occupied” territories.

Israel already supplies electricity to the PLO/PFLP areas — and the electric company usually does NOT get paid. It shares water with the territories per agreement — except Abu Mazen has canceled all agreements with Israel, so Israel could, theoretically stop water flowing into the area. (It won’t, but …)

Israel could also take over the banks and put an end to Abu Mazen’s “slay for pay” program. In theory, Israel even could print “Occupation” currency so when, if, there ever IS a Palestinian state, it would be weaned from Israel’s shekels, new or otherwise.

Interesting that “Palestinians” deal in Israeli shekels rather than Jordanian dinars. In the early days of Israel, Jordanians who worked in Israel and were paid in lirot [before the new shekels] rushed to exchange the frequently devalued lira for the more stable Jordanian dinar.

While Europe and the Useless Nations whine over Israel assuming jurisdiction of Jewish communities in Yehuda and Shimron, they cannot seem to comprehend how much better off the non-Jewish Arab population would be under Israeli rule, either as occupied residents or as Israeli residents. It is too early to consider citizenship for the people who prefer the Blue and White flag of Israel to the banner of the PLO.

Kill Area “A”?

ABU MAZEN, the alleged “leader” of the PLO/PFLP1 in Oslo’s “Area A,” is promising to end all cooperation with Israeli security forces.

The problem is, even armed with U.S.-provided weapons, the PLO/PFLP cannot — or will not — prevent terrorists from entering Israel.

The bottom line is that Israel will be forced — by “Palestinians” — to take over and the Muslims will lose yet another piece of land.

Israel has a right to live in peace and security, and it that means taking over Area A, as it took over all of Jerusalem and much of Judea and Samaria (Areas B and C).

Like Joe Biden; Abu Mazen is tripping over his tongue to the detriment of his constituents.

Area A, shown on the map, above, is ungovernable.

You cannot go from Jenin to Ramallah or Ramallah to Hebron in one contiguous area.

Had the PLO/PFLP come to a peace agreement with Israel before Oslo, the “Palestinians” could have had a real state.

Had the PLO/PFLP even considered President Trump’s grand plan, “Palestinians” could have had a real state — even linked to Gaza (which may be one reason Abu Mazen refused to even consider the plan).

Had the PLO/PFLP come to a peace agreement with Israel, residents of yet another Muslim state could have had better education, better medical care, better jobs (working in Israel or for Israeli firms setting up in the new state), improved incomes, less mothers crying for their dead children (on both sides).

It might not have been a Canada-U.S. relationship (even that one started off with some difficulties) but perhaps more of a Mexico-U.S. relationship.

Israel’s peace deal with Egypt is holding. It’s agreement with Jordan is, admittedly, shaky, mostly because Jordan’s king is threatened by the Palestinians in his kingdom, the “real” Palestine.

As time goes on, the PLO/PFLP is losing support from established Muslim states, in large part due to the non-elected government in Ramallah. (The Europeans still find ways to put Euros into the pockets of Abu Mazen and his cronies and to fund the PLO/PFLP’s “slay-for-pay” coffers.)

Abu Mazen, for his own part, needs Israeli security to alert him to approaching Hamas killers who want his head.

Given that Gaza would be part of Trump’s “Palestinian” state might be why Abu Mazen is so steadfastly against the plan to the point of not even looking at it.

None of the “Palestinian” despots in Ramallah or in Gaza have made any progress toward peace with Israel. Hamas, more than the PLO/PFLP, frequently announces that it’s sole goal it to destroy Israel.

Israel without Jews

Yet, in reality, if all the Jews who came after 1900, and their descendants, were to leave Israel, the end result would be lack of medical care for the Muslims, lack of education for the Muslims, lack of science and agricultural advances ... in other words, the land would return to its status when Samuel Clemens (right) toured it in 1867. Then Clemens (Mark Twain) wrote: Throughout Innocents Abroad2, Twain explicitly states that the area was desolate and devoid of inhabitants. His group entered Palestine from the north, passing through such sites as the Sea of Galilee, the Banias, Nazareth, Jenin and Nablus.

Riding on horseback through the Jezreel Valley, Twain observed, “There is not a solitary village throughout its whole extent – not for 30 miles in either direction. There are two or three small clusters of Bedouin tents, but not a single permanent habitation. One may ride 10 miles, hereabouts, and not see 10 human beings.”

Six hundred years before Twain’s visit, Rabbi Moses ben Nachman, known as Nachmanides (1194-1270), commenting on a verse in Leviticus that describes the curses that will befall the land of Israel, wrote that the devastation “constitutes a good tiding, proclaiming that during all our exiles, our land will not accept our enemies... Since the time that we left it, [the land] has not accepted any nation or people, and they all try to settle it... This is a great proof and assurance to us.”

The 13th-century scholar wrote that Israel will remain desolate until the Jewish People assume control. But when the people of Israel finally return to the land of Israel.

While the Muslims came to Israel and drove out some Jews, the only thing they managed to accomplish was to build on top of Judaism’s most holy site (for their third level holy site — they turn their posteriors to their precious mosque when they recite their prayers; some honor.

Did they bring agriculture to Israel? No.

Did they build colleges in Israel? No.

Did they build cities, great or small, in Israel? No.

In order for a land to be a people’s land, the people have to develop it.

The Muslims did nothing.

To be fair, what Jews remained in Israel mostly were beggars depending on handouts from Europe, Asia, and the Americas. But they DID have cities and they DID have education of a sort, and they DID have a court system.

Eyes that cannot see

Abu Mazen, et al, have eyes that cannot see that a lasting peace with Israel back in 1948 would be what today’s PLO/PFLP call “Palestine” would have been much larger and uncontested.

Of course Abu Mazen’s “Palestine” would be ruled from Amman, not from Ramallah, but that apparently was NOT a problem until Israel defeated five invading Muslim armies (Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, and) Syria). Many “Palestinians” left what was the fledgling state of Israel so the “glorious invading Muslim armies could drive the Jews into the Sea.” Their descendants are living in UN “refugee” camps to this day.

More land was lost for the PLO/PFLP in 1967 when Israel was attacked by Egypt, Jordan, and Syria, and still more land during the “Yom Kippor” war of 1973 led by Egypt and Jordan.

Israel returned the Sinai to Egypt (but Egypt refused to accept Gaza) in exchange for a peace agreement. Jordan was allowed to maintain control of the mosque in return for a peace agreement with Israel. Due to Syria’s continuing belligerency, Israel remains in control of the Golan.

An aside: Yassir Arafat was born and raised an Egyptian. He co-founded Fatah in 1959 and joined the PLO in 1967.3
