In bed with foes:
U.S., Israel, China,
And Iran: Foolish

RISING TO A NEW HIGH IN POLITICAL AND MILITARY STUPIDITY, three countries have climbed under the covers with China:

  1. U.S.
  2. Israel
  3. IRAN!

While President Trump is trying, despite leftist Democrat opposition, to wean the U.S. from cheap Chinese products — somehow “goods” seems inappropriate for things from China —, Israel is surrendering its Haifa and Ashdod sea ports to the Chinese, and the Chinese are buying oil from Iran in exchange to technology — technology that may be used against the U.S. and Israel, the “Big Satan” and the “Little Satan” according to the ayatollahs.

The Chinese already own a number of companies in the U.S. and Israel, including major food processing companies.1, 2

Enemies of Israel and U.S.: Chinese dragon, Iranian cat

The most prominent foreign acquisition of an American food company in the past few years was Chinese company WH Group’s 2013 purchase of Smithfield Foods for $4.7 billion. The combined company is the largest pork producer in the world. WH Group, formerly known as Shuanghui, allegedly has received subsidies from the Chinese government. The deal was the largest ever Chinese acquisition of an American company. Brazil may be an even bigger buyer of U.S. food companies.3

The Chinese are pervasive both in the U.S.4 and Israel,2

Is there a danger to U.S. and Israeli security from the Chinese invasion? The Rand organization seems to support this with its RAND_RR3176 report5.

The Chinese are known for stealing technology from any and every source.

Both Israel and the U.S. are leading technology countries; leading in defense, electronics, medicine, general science, agriculture, environmental sciences, and more.

Why would ANYONE invite a known thief into their home?

No one with an ounce of sense would do that.

Worse, why would ANYONE invite a known thief into their home when the thief is cozy with someone who wants to harm, to kill, them?

Yet, both Israel and the U.S. allow the Chinese thieves into their homes.

The old expression: “You get what you pay for,” while grammatically wrong is, still, sadly true. When you “buy cheap,” you get cheap.

People do it.

Governments do it.

The trouble with buying Chinese — or worse, letting the Chinese buy into the house — is that not only is the purchased product shoddy, but the thief in the house is stealing from his or her host.

China has proven it doesn’t care for its customers.

Despite U.S. laws to the contrary, China has sent to America

    Contaminated food

    Dangerous medicines

Drywall that gave off volatile chemicals and sulfurous gases

    Faulty automotive parts

    Flammable clothing

Toys painted with poisonous lead paint

and the list goes on.

Israel has allowed Chinese companies to dig tunnels for public transportation, and well as permitted it to build light rail systems.

Given that the Chinese are in bed with Iran, and that Iran repeatedly, almost continuously, threatens to “wipe Israel off the map,” the Iranians now know more about Israeli tunnels and infrastructure than is good for Israel.

The Chinese need Iran’s oil more than they need Israel — and America’s — money.

Common sense, a commodity the leaders of Israel in particular seem to lack, would caution against doing business with the friend of my enemy.

MEANWHILE, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said that Tehran has been negotiating a 25-year accord with China, terms of which will be announced once a deal is struck, French news agency AFP reported Sunday.6

There is a famous saying in the Middle east: “An enemy of my friend is my enemy.”

Israel and the U.S. would be well advised to consider the implications of an Iran-China liaison.

Something is seriously
Wrong with this picture

Abraham H. Foxman was national director of the Anti-Defamation League and a Holocaust survivo, complaining from the safety of his U.S. claims that Israel's Minister of Culture, Miri Regev, is stiffling free speech.

Foxman, a naturalized U.S. citizen born 75 years ago in Baranovichi, Byelorussia, takes umbrfage, according to a Times of Israel article, that Ms. Regev is refusing to finance anti-Israel "artists." From the Times article:

First there was a statement by an Israeli actor, Norman Issa, saying he would refuse to participate in a performance of his acting company in the Jordan valley. Next came a movie about an individual who murdered an Israeli soldier which seemed like a defense of his actions. And then surfaced a film about Yigal Amir, the assassin of Prime Minister Yitzak Rabin, which appeared to express sympathy with the killer.

There are so many things wrong with Foxman and his holier-than-thou attitude that it almost laughable.

ASK YOURSELF AS A LIBERAL - and TRY to be honest with yourself - would you encourage and finance someone who promotes ideas that threaten your life even if only by promoting hatrid of you and yours?

If someone came to you and asked you to be an "angel" for a play that denigrated you and your way of life, that castigated you.

I'm not sure I personally would object to a film that protrays Yigal Amir proin a less than dastardly light knowing Rabin's history and willingness to murder fellow Jews (on order of his master, Ben Gurion). At the same time, as a politician, even a Likudnik, I doubt I would contribnute state money to the project. It happens in Foxman's self-flagellating America, but it need not happen in Israel.

The Times reported that the minister of culture focused on the expenditures of her budget. She distinguished between the right of individuals or institutions to say or put on productions of the most obnoxious things, and the question as to whether government should fund such things. On the face of it that appeared to be a legitimate distinction — except for the fact that leaving that discretion to the minister of culture could lead to disturbingly high levels of politics in the decision as to what to fund, and what not.

Foxman's ADL was famous for verbiage, but while it talked the talk, it never "walked the walk"; for that we needed - and still need - the JDL, the much maligned by heads-in-the-sand liberals. Jewish Defense League. Foxman's ADL spent a great deal of time trying to shut down Israeli leaders' voices and molifying the friend of Israel's enemies in the White House.

It's OK, per Foxman's ADL, to criticize Israel, free speech and all, but G-d forbid that an Israeli politician should say an unkind word about the U.S. or its political "leader"ship. Convenient double standard.

Israel has enough problems with far left liberals within its own borders without having to deal with the likes of Foxman and his useless ADL.

Anti-Semitism

Individual vs. Group hatred

An article on the Arutz Seven web site titled Europe: Jewish Life 'Unsustainable' Due to Rising Anti-Semitism (http://tinyurl.com/k5yby8k) reports on the increase in attacks on Jews and things Jewish in Europe and includes mention of the recent anti-Semitic incident in Overland Park near Kansas City KS.

There is a difference that in Europe, the attacks often are made by groups of cowards, attacking lone Jews or Jewish property while in the U.S., attacks typically are made by individual crazies acting alone - as was the case of Frazier Glenn, a/k/a F. Glenn Miller, the Overland Park shooter.

There also is, I suggest, a difference in the mentality of the Jewish population.

In Europe, even after the creation of modern Israel and its military successes, the Jewish mentality still, for the most part, is "don't make waves." Keep a low profile, don't do anything obviously Jewish, don't wear uniquely Jewish apparel - no kippot, not "Jewish" jewelry.

Jews in the U.S., particularly those Jews born post-WW 2, have a "don't tread on me" mentality; push me and I'll push you back - harder.

In Europe, while the Jews are cowering, the neo-nazis and the Islamists are proving their "in you face" attitude is the way to power, if not true respect.

When the Islamists can take over entire neighborhoods in England and impose shiria law on all residents, Moslem or not, this should be a lesson to Jews that cowering only will generate more attacks.

European Jews need a revival of the Jewish Defense League (JDL), Jews who are as "in your face" as the anti-Semites.

Where Jews defend themselves - as in the U.S., even in European-mentality ghettos such as Williamsburg in New York - anti-Semites are "discouraged" from attacking Jews. Where the police cannot or will not do their job, Jews defend themselves.

Call them vigilantes if you will; call them fools who are endangering their lives, but know that their very presence helps protect their fellow Jews.

My Moroccan father-in-law, ע''ה, knew how to deal with anti-Jews (Arabs are Semites, too, so "anti-Semite" seems an inappropriate label for Moslems) and because of that he had their respect both in Morocco and in Israel.

Few people respect cowards or people who behave as cowards as the Jews of Europe behave.

European Jews need to organize into self-defense groups. They need to learn self-defense, be it krav magraw as its taught by Israelis, karate, savate, or other "self-survival" skills and then advertise the fact that they are willing to use these skills if attacked.

Today's laws never will protect a Jew for a pre-emptive strike, but the law should not prevent a Jew from defending his person and his property. If the Jews of Europe don't defend themselves now, they will be unable to legally defend themselves later.

It's difficult to prevent an individual from attacking as Frazier Glenn did in Overland Park KS, but it is easy enough to identify and defend against groups intent on doing damage to Jews and "things Jewish."

There is two options for European Jews:

Option 1: Learn to defend yourselves and then defend yourselves.

Option 2: Move to Israel and let Jews who do know how to defend Jews protect you.

Option 1 is by far the better option if Jews expect to have any future in Europe.
